Dasada is a taluk at the edge of the Little Rann of Kutch Wildlife Sanctuary in Surendranagar District of Gujarat. This barren semi-desert landscape offers opportunities for desert safaris. The taluk is inhabited by the Bharwads of Ambala. The traditional lifestyle and folk dance festivals of these nomadic pastoral tribes are the main attractions of this taluk. This is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in India, spanning some 4950 sq ft in area, and comprising range habitats from saline desert plains, arid grasslands, rocky and thorn scrub to lakes and marshes. |
